This dataset is a comprehensive compilation of over 2.3 million vehicle-level traffic accident records spanning the six-year period from 2017 to 2022 in the U.S. state of Ohio. It was collected and curated by the Ohio Department of Public Safety’s Traffic Crash Reporting System (OSTATS). The dataset has undergone rigorous data cleaning and validation processes to ensure its accuracy and reliability. It contains detailed features at the traffic accident, vehicle, and individual levels, providing a rich resource for predictive analyses of traffic accident severity and risk factors. Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) and SHAP methods were utilized for model construction and interpretation.
