In 2018, 122,743 applications were registered with OFPRA, including 113 322 applications (including accompanying minors) and 9,421 reviews (including 292 reopenings). 93 472 decisions, excluding accompanying minors, were taken, an increase of 4.7 % compared to 2017. OFPRA took 24,663 agreement decisions compared to 23,958 in 2017. In 2018, the CNDA issued 47,651 decisions, a slight 0.3 % decrease in the number of decisions compared to 2017. In total, the number of decisions granting protection status (refugee and subsidiary protection, excluding accompanying minors) taken by OFPRA and CNDA stood at 33,380 in 2018, up 4.4 % compared to the total positive decisions of 2017.
