Canadian Gallup Poll, November 1976, #394

This Gallup poll seeks the opinions of Canadians, on both political and social issues. The questions ask opinions about governmental spending and other political issues within the country. There are also questions on other topics of interest and importance to the country and government, such as threats to the future; the swine flu vaccination and pay television. The respondents were also asked questions so that they could be grouped according to geographical variables. Topics of interest include: accepting white Rhodesians; the biggest threat to the future; concerns for the Canadian society; getting the swine flu vaccination; what the government should cut spending on; growing newspaper sensationalism; the harshness of courts; the harshness of the penal institutes; improving broadcasting; interest in pay television; and predictions for 1977. Basic demographic variables are also included.
