Whole genome expression in Arabidopsis (CBX9). Arabidopsis thaliana

In this experiment we examined whole genome response to gamma ray irradiation and lacking of chromatin assembly factor1 (CAF-1). Four-weeks old Arabidopsis plants grown in vitro on MS medium in petri dishes were irradiated with 100Gy of gamma rays at a dose rate of 300Gy/h. Six hours after irradiation samples (upper parts of plants) were frozen in liquid nitrogen and immediately ground for total RNA isolation. RNAs from non-irradiated wild type plants and fas mutants were isolated and were used for microarray analysis.
