Noise level AggRoad L_Den 2017 in Saarland

The LDEN noise index reflects noise pollution for the entire day (24 hours) and is used for the development of strategic noise maps. These isophonic maps represent the calculation results of the environmental noise mapping in 2017 on the main roads in the agglomerations of the Saarland (the regional capital of Saarbrücken is shown as a metropolitan area). In accordance with Section 4(4) of the 34. BImSchV is shown the noise situation for the LDEN in the following isophone bands with a class width of 5 dB: 55 dB(A) LDEN 60 dB(A), 60 dB(A) LDEN 65 dB(A), 65 dB(A) LDEN 70 dB(A), 70 dB(A) LDEN 75 dB(A) and 75 dB(A) LDEN. The noise maps must be reviewed and, if necessary, revised every five years. The central nationwide Strategic Noise mapping on main roads was commissioned in Saarland for the affected and responsible cities and municipalities by the Saarland City and Municipality Day. The Ministry of Environment and Consumer Protection has contributed pro rata to the costs and coordinated mapping.
