We conducted a temporal field study at the Baltic Sea coast in Sweden (60°29'54.0" N, 18°25'48.9" E) by sampling rock pools ten times, starting on 14th August 2015 and ending on 19th September 2015 with a four-day interval. We characterised bacterial and microeukaryotic communities by 16S and 18S rRNA sequencing, respectively, in order to reveal the temporal variation of their metacommunity structures and assembly processes.
