Forenames — Children born in Poitiers- by commune-GP

The Civil Code requires that births be declared to the Civil State of the municipality where the maternity is situated. As a result, much of Vienna’s births are concentrated in Poitiers. In order to be closer to the reality of the municipalities of Grand Poitiers, this dataset divides the children’s forenames according to the mother’s residence. However, it does not take into account the forenames of children born outside Poitiers (e.g. registered births in Châtellerault or births at home). This information will complement this dataset as soon as Grand Poitiers becomes aware of it.
