Multi-pathology Prokin Database

The dataset consists of 362 patients (222 females and 140 males) aged 43 to 96 years, who were admitted to the Clinical Unit of Physical Rehabilitation at IRCCS INRCA (Ancona branch) following heterogeneous clinical events, including neurological (Neuro), orthopedic (Ortho), and cardiovascular–respiratory (C-R) conditions.
Postural balance was systematically assessed at two clinically relevant time points along the rehabilitation pathway: at admission (T0) and at discharge (T1). All measurements were acquired under standardized conditions using the Prokin stabilometric system.
For each assessment, condition-specific stabilometric parameters were extracted, including sway Area and sway Perimeter, measured under both Eyes-Open (EO) and Eyes-Closed (EC) conditions. These parameters were collected separately at T0 and T1, resulting in a total of eight stabilometric measurements per patient.
The paired longitudinal structure of the dataset enables the evaluation of within-patient changes in balance performance over the course of rehabilitation. Moreover, the inclusion of patients with diverse clinical conditions allows for the investigation of condition-specific effects on postural control and recovery trajectories.
