资源简介:
This corpus contains responses collected using the I AM Task, a self-concept elicitation instrument in which participants complete the prompt “I am…” with spontaneous self-descriptive statements. The dataset includes productions from Italian–Spanish bilingual speakers and is designed to investigate self-referential processing across linguistic contexts.
Participants (N = 236) generated short self-descriptions in response to the prompt (10 items in Italian L1 and 10 items in Spanish L2 per participant). All responses are provided in the original language of production (Italian or Spanish).
The dataset includes the following variables, each corresponding to a separate column:• Participant_ID• Gender (coded as 1 = female, 2 = male)• L2 proficiency in Spanish (A2, B2 or C1)• Education (academic background, including field of study and institution)• I AM Task responses in Spanish and Italian (provided in separate columns)
The dataset is intended for research in autobiographical memory, bilingualism, second language acquisition, self-concept, self-talk, and discourse analysis. It can be used to examine semantic patterns, culturally and linguistically conditioned self-representation, and variability in self-descriptive language across linguistic contexts.
The dataset is fully anonymized and does not contain any personally identifiable information. It is shared for research and non-commercial purposes.
