Gut microbiota play a pivotal role in host health.However, the effect of the eukaryotic microbiota on gut community assembly remains unclear. To address this gap,we compared the eukaryotic microbiota between healthy and diseased shrimp.The main purposes of this study were: (i) to survey the assembly of gut eukaryotic microbiota over shrimp lifestages and between health status; (ii) to identify eukaryotic signatures associated with shrimp health status; (iii) to predict the incidence of shrimp disease based on the profiles of eukaryotic signature.
