MATRIX Bowtie2 Host Genome Indexes (Human, Mouse, Pig and Rat)

This dataset contains pre-built Bowtie2 genome indexes for host contamination removal in metagenomic workflows using the MATRIX toolkit. Included organisms:- Human (hg38)- Mouse (mm39)- Rat (rn7)- Pig (ssc11) Each archive contains:- Bowtie2 index files (*.bt2)- Reference genome FASTA files These databases are distributed separately due to large size (~16–20 GB total). Usage example:matrix hostremove --db_dir /path/to/downloaded/index The dataset is designed to integrate with MATRIX, a modular metagenomics analysis toolkit.
