Nutritional strategies in a congeneric pair of savanna and seasonal forest trees

The data deposited refers to plant traits collected during three months of two congeneric species typical from two physiognomies of the Brazilian Cerrado, in four nutritional offerings. (1) Supply of all nutrients for the healthy development of plants, (2) All nutrients except nitrogen, (3) all except Phosphorus and, (4) all except nitrogen and phosphorus. The traits measured were: total biomass (g), aboveground biomass (g), cotyledon persistance (days), appearance of the first pair of leaves (days) and leaf area (cm2). The values of all these traits were higher in the cerrado species. Moreover, we measured root to shoot ratio and height (mm), whose values were higher in the forest species.
