This dataset is a 1:100,000-scale spatial distribution dataset of remotely sensed image-classified boundaries for forest vegetation types in Taiwan Province, China, covering the period from 2013 to 2017. It originates from the China Forest Vegetation Survey Project of the Research Institute of Forest Resources Information Techniques, Chinese Academy of Forestry. The dataset was compiled using partial historical vegetation distribution maps, forest distribution maps, 2012 TM data, 1990s TM data, field sample plot survey data, and other relevant materials, and was processed strictly in compliance with the relevant provisions of the *Specification for Forest Vegetation Classification, Survey and Mapping* (2019). The data is in vector format, with attribute fields including forest order subgroup, forest order, forest series group, and other related categories. It has a scale of 1:100,000, and provides data support for forest resource surveys, planning and design, and other related applications.
