Intermodal transport reference system (GIP.at) Local areas according to StVO (GIP.nö – Measure Assistant) Lower Austria

Polygon geometries of the local area measures in the GIP.nö. (On the basis of the traffic signs recorded digitally on national roads by the Lower Austrian Road Construction Departments) was recorded by the Department of Transport Affairs (or their work contractors and Ferial practitioners) in close coordination with the Lower Austrian District Administration Authorities. The accuracy of the subordinate road network (municipal roads, rural road network,...) is unknown, as the basis for digitisation was the orthophoto or the land boundaries from the DKM. The exact positions are known on national roads. Local areas that do not cross a national road may not be covered. Changes in the local areas are continuously introduced by the district administrative authorities directly in the action assistant in the course of the process of drafting regulations. The polygons contain the name of the local area and its zonal polygon geometry. A status field indicates whether the action is active (2) or has a different status. The data set is not suitable for deriving the specific announcements (exact location board positions).
