Weather forecast for HARMONIE-AROME model surfaces

The data includes the latest weather forecast data produced by the Finnish Meteorological Institute (HARMONIE-AROME) for model surfaces. The data covers atmospheric quantities on the model surfaces, e.g. temperature, relative humidity, dew point temperature, wind direction/speed/horizontal components and geopotential height. The Harmonie-AROME weather model is run four times a day (00, 06, 12 and 18 UTC), each with a forecast length of 66 hours. Harmony-AROME is a so-called limited-area model whose counting area covers the Scandinavian region, the Norwegian Sea and the Baltic region. The horizontal lattice used in the model is 2.5 km. Vertically, the model has 65 levels, 20 of which are located at the lowest 1000 metres in the atmosphere. The coordinate system used to calculate the model is in Lambert’s projection.
