Methods:Apical buds of apical vegetative shoots (VS) and 2nd lateral early stage lateral floral buds (LB2) of teak were collected from a 12 year old teak tree for isolation of mRNA samples. Two paired-end cDNA libraries of the VS and LB2 samples were sequenced on Illumina HiSeqTM 2000 platforms.Results:Transcriptome datasets of the vegetative stage (VS) and early stage lateral floral buds (LB2) of teak are presented.
