Regional basins of Romagna, coast, dangerous infrequent floods M-P2

The cartography represents the delimitation of areas potentially floodable during extreme weather-marine events characterized by probabilities (return time equal to 100 years) as provided for in Article 6 of Directive EU 2007/60/EC, with regard to the coastal area of the Unit of Management UoM (ITR081) over which the Romagna Rivers Basin Authority is competent. The design does not take into account the presence of temporary defense measures, such as winter embankments and mobile bulkheads, since these are not real structural works, but tools used by municipalities and individuals for risk management. They are put in place in the winter period, to reduce the damage resulting from storm surges.
