The goal of this study was to characterize the composition of the peat microbiome from Sallie's Fen in NH, USA. Peat cores were collected at 8 sites across the peatland and subsamples were collected at 3 depths (10-20 cm, 30-40 cm, and 60-70 cm). These samples were collected and sequenced as a part of the Global Peatland Microbiome Project (PI Erik Lilleskov).
