Operational Dataset of Russian Hypersonic Missile Strike Events in Ukraine (2022–2026)

This dataset provides an event-level record of Russian hypersonic missile strike activities during the Russia–Ukraine war from 29 September 2022 to 17 January 2026. It compiles operational information on missile launch events, including the date of attack, number of missiles launched, confirmed successful strikes, interceptions by Ukrainian air defence systems, and missiles that failed to reach their intended targets. The dataset covers the deployment and operational outcomes of key Russian hypersonic missile systems, including the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal, 3M22 Zircon, and Oreshnik. The information has been systematically compiled from open-source intelligence reports, official military briefings, and verified international media coverage. By structuring individual strike events into a standardised dataset, this resource enables quantitative analysis of missile deployment patterns, strike effectiveness, and air defence interception performance during the conflict. The dataset is intended to support research in security studies, strategic technology assessment, and empirical conflict analysis.
