Malus domestica Royal Gala: wild vs transformed

RNAseq was performed on apple transformed with R6:MdMYB10, which has a deeply pigmented fruit peel and flesh phenotype, and on control non-transformed apple from the same genetic background (the cultivar 'Royal Gala'). One transgenic line (line A2) was selected and the RNAseq was carried out on three biological replicates of fruit flesh samples for A2 and control. The experiment was designed for the discovery of the transcriptional changes that might be associated with genes and transcription factors that control anthocyanin pigmentation and any associated changes to fruit quality.
