资源简介:
This dataset documents a study on the association between oxygen uptake kinetics,
force generation in 1-minute tethered swimming, biological maturation, selected
anthropometric indicators, and front crawl performance over 100 m and 800 m in
male pubertal swimmers.
The main scientific objective was to assess whether oxygen uptake kinetics, in
particular oxygen uptake amplitude and the time constant tau, are related to
swimming performance and to somatic and maturity-related indicators in a sample
of competitively trained youth swimmers.
The study focused on 41 male pubertal swimmers who had trained competitively for
4 to 5 years. Measurements included biological age, body mass, fat-free mass,
predicted skeletal muscle mass for body segments, body height, total body length,
oxygen uptake kinetics during a 1-minute tethered front crawl test, average
pulling force, and official race performances over 100 m and 800 m front crawl.
