This data summarizes FCC reported Broadband Service per census block using the available technologies deployed in each block to determine speeds and a count of the number of providers in each block. Blocks are then categorized into speed tiers based on the technical capabilities of each technology. In blocks that have multiple technologies available, the technology with the highest download and upload speed capabilities is listed as the technology and speed tier. Derived from June 2021 Form 477 data. The Speed Tier field can be used to determine unserved blocks (No Service or Less Than 25mb/s Download and 3mb/s Upload), as well as underserved blocks (Less Than 100mb/s Download and 20mb/s Upload). The Technology Tier field lists the best available technology and can be combined with the Speed Tier field to identify both speed capabilities and technology reported as available in each census block.
