Buffer zone around highly sensitive areas for acidification (WAV) (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)

This stock contains buffer zones of 250 meters around sensitive, highly sensitive areas for acidification (e.g. WAV) as defined in the Environmental Vision for the Province of Groningen 2016-2020. The Ammonia and Livestock Farming Act (WAV) protects highly sensitive areas of our nature network against ammonia emissions from livestock farms. On the basis of this law, we have designated the areas that are particularly sensitive to ammonia in the Environmental Ordinance. In these areas and a zone of 250 meters around them, restrictions apply to livestock farms. New establishment is not possible here and the expansion possibilities for existing livestock farms are limited.
