Overview
This dataset contains physical activity data collected from children using Apple Watch Series 7 and mental health assessments, including Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire(SDQ) and Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham Version IV Scale (SNAP-IV Scale). It also includes demographic variables such as age, sex, and BMI. The dataset aims to support research on the relationship between movement patterns and mental health outcomes in children.
Data Collection
Participants: primary school students (aged 6–13 years) .Ethical Approval: The study was conducted following ethical guidelines, with approval granted under approval number 202309801.Consent: Written consent was obtained from all participants' guardians before data collection.Data Sources & Measurements
Accelerometer-Based Physical Activity DataCollected using Apple Watch Series 7 (100Hz sampling rate).Processed into raw acceleration signals and transformed into features representing movement patterns.Includes spatial-temporal movement characteristics for activity classification.Mental Health AssessmentStrengths and Difficulties Questionnaire: Evaluates emotional and behavioral attributes.Swanson, Nolan, and Pelham Version IV Scale: Assesses attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms.Demographic and Physiological DataAge, sex, and BMI (Body Mass Index) were recorded for each participant.Potential Applications
Multimodal deep learning research combining physical activity and mental health indicators.ADHD classification using accelerometer-derived movement data.Longitudinal studies on the impact of physical activity on children's psychological well-being.
