In this work, we collected and analyzed two cohorts of young-adult and aged-adult mice brain mRNAs and determined their levels using second--generation (illumina) sequencing technology.We provide the community with a large resource of whole brain transcriptomes and comprehensive analyses that identify widespread diversity of mRNAs during aging. This study is linked to the dataset GSE233837. Overall design: Brain mRNA profiles of 4 young-adult samples (6-month, brain hemisphere, from 4 males), 4 aged (24-month, brain hemisphere, from 4 males)
