Inspire BW Distribution of species of caper chicken distribution

Inspire Dataset of Auerhuhn Distribution in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The distribution map shows the latest status of caperhun monitoring. Distribution maps for caper chicken deposits in the Black Forest have been produced since 1993, when a continuous documentation of all sightings and indications of the occurrence of caper chickens was started. In the course of 5 years, a new distribution map with the evidence collected during this period will be created. The caperhun distribution area is defined as areas for which at least three evidence is available within the last five years. The filled 3 x 3 km grid cells are based on various indications (sighting, annual court counting, faeces, feathers, hudder pans, step seals). For the sake of sensitivity of the bird species, the distribution is only published with a resolution of 3 x 3 km. The evidence comes from the FVA and is based both on its own investigations and on reports from hunters, foresters, forest workers, ornithologists and conservationists.
