Phyllosphere microbiome of Magnolia grandiflora in Oxford, MS

This study characterized the phyllosphere bacterial community (16S rRNA of the V4 region) on the leaves of 87 Magnolia grandiflora trees sampled throughout a small town (Oxford, MS), encompassing an area of approximately 60 km(2). Differences in the phyllosphere microbiome were compared spatially and between regions sampled, tree height, tree width, and proximity to roads/car traffic.
