Environmental data and codes for "Algal assembly processes among natural and human impacted lakes over 200 years from sediment DNA"

In this study, we used sediment DNA to reconstruct temporal turnover and diversity of lake algal communities in northern China over the past 200 years. Then we analyzed these four enclosed lakes with different levels of human impacts. We aimed to  investigate algal assembly processes in the four study lakes and track their dynamics through time, and we also quantified overall contributions of different underlying factors on communities and examined how these contributions vary over time. This dataset provided environmental data and related codes for these studies.
