资源简介:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic organosulfur compounds made by Sue Turner; oceanic halocarbons made by Phil Nightingale; oceanic isoprene made by Wendy Broadgate; aerosols by Jonathon James and Lucinda Spokes; atmospheric nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide and ozone by Jonathon James; and oceanic carbon monoxide made by Cliff Law during the Challenger 133 research cruise on Porcupine Bank in the North Atlantic as part of the Atmospheric Chemistry Studies in the Oceanic Environment (ACSOE) project. The cruise began on 9th May 1997 and ended on 2nd June 1997 with a spatial coverage of +51N to +55N latitude and +10W to +13W longitude. The data consists of: -111 measurements of the concentration of dimethylsulphoniopropionate (DMSP) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate) by purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography; -203 measurements of the concentration of dimethyl sulphide (DMS) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate) by filtration, purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography; -128 measurements of iodomethane (methyl iodide) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography; -117 measurements of the 2-methyl-1,3-butadiene (isoprene) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by purging, cryogenic trapping and gas chromatography; -570 measurements of the concentration of carbon monoxide (CO) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved phase) by gas chromatography; and -570 measurements of the saturation of carbon monoxide (CO) in the water column (dissolved phase) by computation from concentration. -Continuous detection measurements of nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ozone (O3) via chemiluminescent analyser -Measurements of aerosols concentration per unit volume of the atmosphere by filtration See below for further details.
