Building the South Texas Energy Workforce: Workforce Training, Credential Attainment, and Employment Outcomes Dataset (2025–2028)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset supports the Gulf Research Program-funded project, “Building the South Texas Energy Workforce” (SCON-10001683), led by Texas A&M University-Kingsville (TAMUK). The dataset documents workforce development activities, participant outcomes, credential attainment, and employment-related impacts associated with energy transition training programs delivered across the South Texas Coastal Bend region. The project focuses on preparing individuals ages 16–25 for careers in skilled trades, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and carbon capture and storage (CCS)-related occupations through competency-based workforce training and wraparound support services. Data include participant enrollment records, demographic characteristics, training participation, instructional hours, credential attainment, course completion, assessment outcomes, job placement status, continuing education outcomes, career navigation activities, and referrals to wraparound services. Training pathways include NCCER Core and Level 1 trades training, OSHA 10 safety certification, NABCEP PV Associate certification, Building Performance Institute (BPI) certifications, and CCS environmental monitoring modules developed in partnership with the Gulf Coast Carbon Center at The University of Texas at Austin. The dataset contains both quantitative and qualitative information collected through enrollment systems, learning management systems, assessments, surveys, interviews, workforce partner reporting, and evaluation activities. Personally identifiable information (PII) will not be publicly released. Public-facing datasets will contain only aggregated or de-identified records in accordance with FERPA, institutional IRB requirements, and GRIIDC data management policies. The purpose of the dataset is to support evaluation of workforce training effectiveness, regional workforce capacity development, credential attainment, and employment outcomes associated with the energy transition economy in South Texas. The dataset also supports continuous improvement, program replication, and public dissemination of workforce development best practices related to clean energy and industrial workforce preparation
