Data collection and Analysis

Sets of data collected for the Meta-Analysis of the effects of biochar on soil water properties. For each individual study, the mean of the controls and biochar treatment means were recorded in an Excel sheet (data collection). All data treatment and processing were done using Microsoft Excel 2010. Standardization of the results was done by calculating the effect size (Response ratio). For each tested variable, response ratio > 1 indicated an increase while response ratio < 1 a decrease.
