自然土壤的矿物质都是由大小不同的土粒组成的,各个粒级在土壤中所占的相对比例或质量分数,称为土壤机械组成。土壤机械组成不仅是土壤分类的重要诊断指标,也是影响土壤水、肥、气、热状况,物质迁移转化及土壤退化过程研究的重要因素,还是土壤地理研究、与农业生产相关的土壤改良、土建工程和区域水分循环过程等研究的重要内容。本数据集是基于2010-2018全国土系调查数据,采用地理加权回归、随机森林等数字土壤制图方法生成的中国1公里分辨率60-100cm的土壤黏粒含量数据,机械组成划分使用美国制标准(黏粒<0.002mm;粉粒0.05-0.002mm;砂粒0.05-2mm);

Minerals in natural soils are composed of soil particles of varying sizes. The relative proportion or mass fraction of each particle-size fraction in the soil is defined as soil mechanical composition. Soil mechanical composition serves not only as a critical diagnostic indicator for soil classification, but also a key factor affecting soil water, nutrient, aeration and thermal regimes, material migration and transformation, as well as soil degradation processes. Furthermore, it is a core research subject for soil geography, soil improvement related to agricultural production, civil engineering, and regional water cycle studies. This dataset is developed based on national soil series survey data collected between 2010 and 2018, using digital soil mapping techniques including geographically weighted regression (GWR) and random forest. It provides soil clay content data across China with a 1-kilometer spatial resolution and a soil depth range of 60–100 cm. The particle-size classification follows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) standard: clay (<0.002 mm), silt (0.002–0.05 mm), and sand (0.05–2 mm).
