Air conduction and cold air runways (areas) (WMS service)

With the signature cold and fresh air runway, the areas in which an intense cold air runoff takes place in low-exchange radiation weather conditions are highlighted. The inflow of fresh and cold air into the settlement area is essential for Dresden’s thermal and air-hygienic situation. Airways are characterised by a low surface roughness (no high buildings, only single standing trees), a straight or slightly curved orientation, a certain inclination of the surface and a wider width (possibly more than 50 m).
