The article comprehensively analyzes the paradigms of physical geography, including the geostructural paradigm. In this paradigm, the role of the category of structure is viewed from a scientific point of view. Particular attention is paid to the tree-like structure of small deltas of the modern Amu Darya delta. In addition, the structures of the uplands and sandy massifs of the modern Amu Darya delta are considered.
