资源简介:
The Laupāhoehoe Forest Dynamic Plot (FDP; 19°55’ N, 155°17’ W), part of the Forest Global Earth Observatory (ForestGEO) network (https://forestgeo.si.edu/) and Hawaiʻi Permanent Plot Network (HIPPNET) network (http://www.hippnet.hawaii.edu/), is a tropical montane wet forest located at 1120 m in elevation on the Island of Hawaiʻi (see Ostertag et al., 2014 for detailed site information). To monitor reproductive and leaf phenology, sixty-four litter traps within a 4-hectare plot were placed in a regular grid, 10-meters apart. Reproductive (fruit and seeds) and leaf litterfall were censused each month. This record contains 65 months of seed litterfall and 32 months of community leaf litterfall over a discontinuous period. Monitoring is on-going.
