To analyze the function of Cdc42 in skin, we generated mice with a keratinocyte-restricted deletion of the Cdc42 gene. The Cdc42flox/flox mice were mated with mice expressing Cre recombinase under the control of the keratin 14 (K14) proximal promoter (The Jackson Laboratory). To explore the function of Cdc42 in skin development, E17.5 and P1 mouse skin was analyzed by RNA sequencing (n = 2 per genotype for each time point). The RNA was sequenced on an Illumina Genome Analyzer (Hiseq2000) by Beijing Genomics Institute (Shenzhen, China).
