Organic pollutants in marine sediments

The dataset shows the content of organic pollutants in marine sediments. Sediment samples for geochemical analyses are collected primarily from areas with fine-grained sediments in both open marine deposition environments and coastal waters. Sample density varies depending on location. There is greater sample density in fjords and coastal areas, while in open seas there is lower sample density. The data have been collected on MAREANO cruises in the years 2006-2021, for 2003-2004 they have been collected on monitoring missions in the Barents Sea and some stations in three pilot areas in Marine base maps in the coastal zone in 2020-2021.
