Here, we apply a modified highly-multiplexed deep sequencing assay: Pf AmpliSeq Peru. The tool targets a newly developed 28-SNP Peru barcode for parasite population analysis within Peru, 11 putative drug resistance genes and pfhrp2/3 genes. It was applied to 90 samples from remote and indigenous communities in the Peruvian Amazon (2016-2020), generating baseline surveillance data.
