Metadata for a PhD thesis

Eight female nyala were immobilised with drugged darts from a vehicle by park veterinarians. These nyala were collared with GPS-GSM and GPS-satellite collars (http//www.awt.co.za) and ARGOS collars (http://www.sirtrack.com). All the collars were scheduled to record GPS coordinates twice a day (06 00 hrs and 16 00 hrs), except for GPS-satellite collars which recorded one location per day (16 00 hrs). The GPS locations were used to study the hierarchical resource selection of nyala in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park, South Africa.
