In this study, we aim to understand the regulatory role of miR-29a in differential expression of genes and pathways associated with PDAC. Functional validation of the top candidate miR-29a targets identified from the RNASeq data delineates novel PDAC pathways paving the way for the development of de novo therapeutic strategies for PDAC treatment. Comparison of the transcriptional status of control vs. miR-29a overexpressing (OE) cells in two different PDAC cell lines (Panc-1 and MIA PaCa-2) identifies differentially expressed genes in each dataset. Overlapping targets from the two datasets were then considered for further analyses.
