Supplementary Figure 3

This is Supplementary Figure 3 for the manuscript "Orphaning stunts growth in wild African elephants" (currently under review), showing that cohort effects could have influenced the result showing that orphans who had spent a longer period of time without their mother were more similar in height to nonorphans. Part A shows that rainfall in the first six years of life positively correlated with the covariate of years since an orphan mother's death. Part B shows that older orphans generally had spent a longer time without their mother than younger orphans.
