Micro organism such as lactic acid bacteria promote beneficial effects on the host health. Lactic acid bacteria usually have the ability to restore the balance of Intestinal environment, regulate intestinal traffic, produce short-chain fatty acids, and immune modulation. Traditionally, lactic acid bacteria are used to treat or prevent the imbalance of the intestinal micro organisms caused by pathogens and/or resulting from antibiotic therapy. However, new approaches have demonstrated the potential of these microorganisms as adjuncts to the treatment or prevention of intestinal and extra intestinal chronic diseases. We isolated several lactic acid bacteria from some plants and investigated their functionality. And we found beneficial functionality in some strains. In this project, we read whole genome sequence of lactic acid bacteria to propose investigate the potential of lactic acid bacteria from sequence information.
