Permanent Research Living situation, accidents in the Netherlands (01-01-1997-01-01-1998)

The Investigation ' Accidents in the Netherlands ' was carried out by CBS in 1997 and 1998, at the request of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS). At the request of the Ministry of Welfare, CBS cooperates with four research institutes in the field of the various accident types in the execution of the investigation. For private accidents, this is the Consumer and Safety Foundation (SCV). SCV also coordinates the four external research institutes. For traffic accidents, the Foundation for Scientific Research and Traffic (SWOV) is a cooperation partner. For sports accidents, this is the Department of Medical Physiology and Sports Medicine at the University of Utrecht and for occupational accidents the research institute NIA-TNO. In 1992/1993 the study & Accidents in the Netherlands – Remeasured 1992/1993 ' carried out. This study was a follow-up study of a similar study carried out in 1986/87. Unique to both studies was that they were carried out jointly by participants from different sectors involved in four types of accidents (traffic accidents, private accidents, sports accidents and occupational accidents). Almost 60.000 people participated in the study in 1997 and 1998. For young children, the parents answered the questions.
