Microbiome analysis of Neotoma lepida following fecal transplants

There is great interest in understanding factors that influence community assembly in the gut microbiome and the coalescence of microbial communities. Here, we used two populations of Neotoma lepida to determine whether disrupting the existing microbial community using relevant plant secondary compounds or antibiotics increases the success of these fecal transplants. Analysis was conducted on 16S rRNA sequences extracted from N. lepida feces.
