These data codings were of open field, qualitative data for a study on ethical approaches to AI and IT development and Design Thinking through the lens of gender. N=93 participants took part in the study - 54 women, 37 men and 2 other. The questionnaire asked about familiarity with design thinking, usage of various methods attached to the design thinking model, ways in which gender-based cognitive bias is dealt with at the representative organisations, and whether or not the participants recognise cognitive bias. The data was collected from April to June, 2024 in Finland and Finnish owned companies. The participants were those who work with information technology development on some level. The codes were categorised according to: mitigation, actions, and how significant (relevant) the participants felt paying attention to gender-based cognitive bias is in their work.
