We have developed a novel collection method for skin microbiota. To validate the efficacy of the developed method, we planned to compare the novel method with traditional swabbing by 16S amplicon sequencing. The back skin of healthy volunteers was swabbed, and the novel method was applied to the area adjacent to the swabbed region. The collected samples were processed and sent to the outsourcing research center for 16S amplicon analysis.
