Land plan areas Svalbard

Land use plans in Svalbard follow a simplified system in relation to land use plans under the Planning and Building Act. There is only one level of plan and the planning system in itself is simpler. In Longyearbyen area area, Longyearbyen Local Government is the planning authority. In the other land-use areas, the Governor is planning authority, but the actor in question is responsible for planning. Ny-Ålesund area area: Kings Bay as is the planning managerSveagruva area area: Large Norwegian Spitsbergen Grubekompani AS is planning manager.Barentsburg area area: Trust Arkticugol is planning manager.Coles bay area area: Trust Arkticugol is the plan manager.Pyramiden area area: Trust Arkticugol is responsible for planning.All land use areas in Svalbard have valid land use plans. In some areas, a number of sub-plans have been developed.
