Six charcoal samples from a late Holocene river terrace along the Henyrs Fork River,
Idaho, were water-screened and examined to recover fragments suitable for radiocarbon
analysis. Two samples were recovered from the relatively thick (26 cm) A horizon, while two
samples were collected from the underlying B horizon. Botanic components and detrital
charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
