Locations for new services at the Helsinki waterfront

The aim of the data is to identify potential new locations for services and activities along the Helsinki coastal route. The data have been collected with the help of an internal map survey in the field of the urban environment of the City of Helsinki, city planning and regional planning. The answers to the map survey have been collected mainly through oral interviews with architects and regional planners responsible for spatial planning and spatial planning. The material has been refined and supplemented with the help of existing town plans, reports and other material in the public division of the City of Helsinki. The interviews were conducted between 23 May and 28 June 2019 and the data were compiled in its final form in September 2019. The material is part of Helsinki’s maritime strategy. It assists in the planning of Helsinki’s coastal route and the location of services in the area. It is a tool for entrepreneurs planning activities in the maritime area, interested city residents and city employees working with the topic. The material describes the zoning situation in the areas and the intention of town and country planning regarding the location of services in the coastal areas of Helsinki. It is not a complete description of all the possibilities of the beach area and is not intended to exclude the possibility of activities other than those mentioned in this material.
