Association between sedentary behavior, body mass index and hyperuricemia: Mediation analysis based on NHANES and Mendelian randomization analysis

We conducted a cross-sectional study from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) collected from 2007 to 2018, with a sample size of 17,764 participants. A weighted multivariate logistic regression model and restricted cubic spline (RCS) analysis were employed associations between sedentary behavior and HUA. Mediation analysis was conducted to determine the mediating role of BMI.Additionally, Mendelian randomization (MR) was used to investigate causal relationships.
